CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure your stained glass piece remains shiny and new looking, you will need to polish it every so often. You can use a dry microfiber cloth to gently polish both the glass and the solder lines. If your solder lines begin to look dull over time, especially with copper patina, I recommend using any brand carnauba car wax to polish your piece. This can also be done with a microfiber cloth the same way, just make sure to polish off all the wax with a dry cloth afterwards to ensure no streaks are showing on your glass and no wax is leftover, which may leave a whiteish residue on your solder lines.

What do I do if my piece breaks or arrives broken?

I package all of my stained glass pieces very carefully, but from time to time, packages can become damaged during transit - sometimes resulting in broken pieces (it is glass, after all).

If your piece arrives damaged in any way - contact me immediately and we will look for a resolution together. It depends on the piece, sometimes I will re-make it if it’s small and I have the necessary materials. I don’t currently offer repairs, so the other option would be a refund.

If your piece drops and breaks, I do not offer any type of refund or discount on a replacement piece. For this reason, I STRONGLY suggest not hanging your piece using a suction cup on a window unless it is a very small, very light piece. If you still want to display your piece in a window, I recommend two things: either use a suction cup to display your piece very low on the window where the bottom of your sun catcher is almost against the windowsill (so that it can’t fall far/break as easily), or you can use a screw/nail in the wall at the top of your window to hang it from (my preferred method).

How long will it take for my order to ship?

If your piece is already made - it usually takes 2-3 business days to ship. If you are ordering a custom piece, you can expect about 1-3 weeks processing time. I will normally either message or email you letting you know what to expect as far as turn around time goes for a custom order.

If you need something rushed - message me ASAP and I’ll see what I can do!

the glass in my suncatcher has imperfections, is this normal?

Yep! Almost all glass sheets come with natural flaws - this includes things like bubbles, small surface level chips/holes in the glass, streaks that can sometimes look like cracks (you can usually tell it’s not a crack by running your nail over it, it shouldn’t feel like a deep scratch/crack). If you’re unsure whether yours is damaged or just has natural flaws, feel free to send me a picture in good lighting and I will let you know!

Do your suncatchers contain lead?

Yes! All of my stained glass pieces are made with solder that contains lead. For this reason, it’s important to make sure you wash your hands throughly after handling your suncatcher. Make sure to keep them out of your children’s reach, and I strongly recommend keeping them out of nurseries.
